perhaps thats what it is. He has a quick deceptive(?) shot. That doesnt make for a top player for me.

And although I don't really care for the pompous little prick that is Patrick Kane, I'm more impressed with his skills than Crosby's. He is a highly skilled, creative player. :up:
 
yes, you guys are brainwashed by meaningless stats. A truly great player is one who is able to work his way through traffic, make creative and effective passes and can finish well with an accurate, patient shot when needed. I'm not blown away when I see Crosby handle the puck. I'm sure he's decent but the best in the world, no way.
 
The argument against Crosby would be a lot stronger if you could take away his Hart Trophy, scoring title, captaincy, 2 trips to the Stanley Cup final with one win, and Olympic Gold medal by the time he was 23. Those pesky individual and team accomplishments can really bung things up when you're attempting a devil's advocate position.


Well screw it! Those are just facts! I want armchair bafflegab and vague impressions from predisposed criitcs!
 
Crosby bitches an moans a little to much for my taste, I think he is also a cheap bastard, with dirty shit behind the play, and never really has to answer the bell for his antics. Saying that he is still the best player in the NHL.
 
Tried to pay special attention to Crosby in tonight's game. He does move quickly, makes some smart passes. I especially like his behind the back passes. Doesn't look as fancy or creative as Datsuyk, but yeah perhaps I undervalued his play.
