Kessel, no matter what angle his shoots the puck, has the best snap and wrist shots in the league. There's not a single knowledgable Gaymlive poster who can honestly disagree with that.

Like I mentioned yesterday, Kessel is a streaky player, but at teh end of the year his point totals put him up in the elite NHL player/scorer status. He's making the Boston trade look pretty darn fair now and Seguin's not even on the Bruins anymore.

Not really. You have to admit that it's a pretty sick goal.

True story. I remember in grade 7 playing for my Jr. High school hockey team my best friend (still to this day) scored a goal identical to that, but from the other side. To this day, I've never seen a single person score a goal like that.

Brother Bacon, Paul Holmgren needs to be fired, but likely won't until the season is over. In fact, I say he steps aside at the end of the season if he's not fired during this season.

Hextall will obviously be the next GM. You guys are a mess in G and on D. An absolute mess. The problem is is that a lot of teams need a starting goalie and there are a couple teams (hello Toronto, Anaheim and St. Louis) with 2 legit starters who can help. A team will have to overpay dealry. Reimer in Edmonton or Philly will solve their goalie problems. Hell, we have a stockpile of Dmen who can help both teams.

Tell Paulie to gve us a call. We love doing business with him.

Kessel's goal was not one of those silly between the legs shootout goals that over 200 players (mostly hotdogging Euro players) have tried in the last 8 years. Kessel's goal was sick. His feet were behind the goal line when he shot the puck.

Well at least, for now, Philly has their high draft picks for the 2014 draft which is being held in Philly this year. I wonder who Hextall will pick?

good puck movement by the Leafs. In fact Kessels stop and pass at the blue line I find more interesting than the shot itself.
