Interesting. I don't think these are her style, but I like the fact that you don't seem to care about getting actual diamonds. Will share pics later when I'm not on my phone.

I went through the GF's jewellery drawer this morning to confirm what I thought - she likes more conservative type things.

I was gonna go with studs but she doesn't seem to wear those. She owns several teardrop-shaped ones like yours, but they're metal with lots of tiny fake gems on 'em.

Bear in mind that I'm trying to make a pre-engagement statement. (Which sounds like a bit like a cop-out when I type it out loud.)

Maybe diamonds are a bad idea for earrings? In any case I'm going to make sure it's wrapped in a box that doesn't suggest "engagement ring". We're not quite there yet but I think she's starting to expect it since my twin bro got engaged to his 21yo GF last fall.

What do you think of these? Brutal honesty please.
