Setantabet.com launch rescheduled for the 1st March

Setantabet.com would like to advise our future customers that the new Setantabet.com site will launch one month later than previously announced. The site will now launch on March 1st, 2010.
Michael O'Rourke, Co-Founder of Setanta Sports explained "We had fantastic feedback since we first launched the idea of Setantabet.com and have decided to incorporate some of the feedback as new functionalities in the site from day 1. Unfortunately this will delay the site launch until March 1st but we are confident that this will make Setantabet.com worth waiting for even more."
Setantabet.com is a joint venture between Setanta Sports and Malta based Chili Gaming. Setantabet.com will offer a full range of sports betting services together with poker and casino offerings. It is the first time an Irish broadcaster has sought to harness the value of its media properties in this way.

Chiligaming was established in 2006 by French entrepreneur Alexandre Dreyfus. Its headquarters are in Malta where it employs more than 40 people. The company was listed in the EGR Power50 for the first time in 2009. As well as this deal with Setanta Sports, Chiligaming recently completed a deal with Iliad-Free, a major French telecommunications company (4.3 millions household) to provide exclusive online betting and poker solutions.

I wonder what Setanta's involvement is. My guest - zero. Sounds like just marketing to me.

Setanta USA is going off the airhere at the end of the month. I don't pay for it but I am hoping the channels I do get pick up the games they are carrying.

Setanta UK went bust last year.
ESPN picked up most of their content.

I didn't knew that. My guess is probably right then, just pure marketing in the Irish market.
