So im going to buy a house in the next year and i wanted to ask other homeowners... Can a consumer EMP device be effective against drones occupying you property's air space?

I realize as a homeowner i will likely purchase a property along with the mineral and air rights and i just want to be prepared to enforce my property interests. And since im fairly confident the Peoples Republic of New York will limit my discharge of firearms indiscriminately into the sky i want to be prepared to safely disable anyone or anything coming after me or my family. Anyone have experience with this?

I have experience with drones in Canada. My neighbour has a few. He flew one around the hood and one landed in the middle of my rink that had about 3 inches of water due to warm weather that we had for 4 days in January. He went on it to get it and I told him if he did that again my boys, who are minors, would treat it like a hockey puck and shoot it into the hockey net breaking it into tiny pieces. He said sorry, but I told him his love of airial toys could hurt innocent hockey players on my rink. He's a decent cat, but I'm not a fan of his drones in the hood. He also video tapes with it.

I think a surface to air missile is a better option. I have a battery of them on my chimney just in case some aircraft violates the air space over my house. A few close calls so far with the county airport being only a few miles way and the house oriented along the landing zone to Hartsfield-Jackson airport. Right now I'm looking to upgrade my radar capabilities with a new system.
