That was my first thought as well, but I'm not sure. We need an outdoorsy person's input here.

Wearing a parachute is prolly better than not, but it sure ain't a guarantee of anything if you go overboard.

Depends on the configuration of the cliff I guess. If it's a long, straight dropdown, okay. If you dump and you're scraping along a cliff wall right away ----> more problematic.

Looking back where they are coming from, I would not be feeling too comfortable about some of that.

I just had a concrete contractor come over to my house to take a look at my garage. He's partners with another dude and the dude called him and the dude at my house went into a full blown fit of rage because the partner is not holding up his end of their partnership bargain. Was funny, but crazy at the same time. Dude was African Canadian (yeah a black dude) and he calmed down and continued to call me brutha. He was an interesting cat. 46, 6 kids and gave me some words of wisdom about raising kids. He was very rough, but very sharp and everything he said made sense. He came from a hard working family and he said his mom had a PHD in something. Can't remember, but the dude was funny fucked in the head, but solid at the same time.
