Plommer is getting rid of his car, don't need it in Toronto.

Also, the traffic here is unfukkinreal, driving is a pain in the ass, I no longer enjoy it.
I used to LOVE driving but after almost 30 yrs behind the wheel I think it's time to give it up.

So I now need a bike.

First of all it has to be comfortable, no mountain bikes, a cruiser suits my style.

What brands do you recommend? I was looking at used Schwinn and Raleigh's on kijiji.

These look comfy:

Reno/Faller, will be exclusive city riding, using bike lanes and paved bike paths.
Will be my main mode of transportation, sole purpose is to get me from A to B, don't need speed.

I will enjoy riding the bike if its comfortable, this will lead to more bike riding, which in turn will help live a healthier life.
(Excluding banging filthy dirty hookers, of course).

this is exactly what I do Plommer. I would go with a comfort or hybrid. You want to be comfortable but also take an uphill. I got mine on line from Bikes direct(?). I found that walmart type bikes are very poor quality and bike stores are too expansive. You can also probably get a bargain on craigslist you wanna fuss with all that

Flat commuting? Hills?

Get a bike w/ more than one gear if you have hills to navigate.

Make sure you get the right size frame. If the frame is to small you'll need knee surgery in 3 years.

A local bike shop will fit you properly.

Wear a helmet.
