Thanks for that tip Plommer. I haven't played much hockey yet.

I never did the math, it's simply based on the fact most NHL games are going over lately, those games that aren't going over 5.5 are usually landing on 5, so I've been parlaying the same games with different totals at 5Dimes.

example, bet Detroit Phoenix OVER 5.5 straight up, then parlay Detroit OVER 5 (paying the juice) with other games OVER 5 and OVER 4.5!

So most games go over and those that don't go over are pushes, not losses and the parlay reduces. I've been having alot of success with this strategy the last couple of weeks - at 5Dimes as they allow you to buy half pucks and pucks and bet them in parlays.

I'm a little surprised the books haven't started setting the totals a little higher.

you will get burned eventually. 5dimes used to massively mis price alt hockey totals, but not anymore.

I don't plan on retiring from my earnings at 5Dimes.

I'm basically riding out a streak. If/when totals are adjusted I'll likely go back to looking for unders.

In the meantime it's hammer down on the over 4.5 & 5 parlays.

When it comes to hockey I use trends. I don't use trends provided for you at many places, I use my own trends. I don't promote this method or even think it's the best way to do things, it's just what I do.

When I am betting hockey I don't lay money on favorites of greater than -150 unless I'm including them in a parlay or playing them on the PUCK LINE.

This is a tracking thread right now so I will include heavy favs though.

LA Kings +158
Carolina +145
Vancouver -170
Montreal -160
Calgary +145
San Jose -145
Minnesota/Winnipeg OVER 5.5 (+110)
San Jose/Colorado UNDER 5.5 (-120)

Yesterday's qualifiers went 1-7. These qualifiers have been so awful it's almost comical. The fortunate thing is I haven't placed a single wager on hockey yet because I am trying to stay disciplined and get some data built up. The bad thing is none of you are fading the qualifiers and making some serious bank.

Today's Qualifier:

Boston Bruins -1.5 (+175)

Now I know for a fact I am the only one tracking this thread cause Phlly/Detroit wasn't a game. It should have been Philly/Colorado and it would have been a loser anyways.

On a good note was the other 3 plays were all winners.

Tonight's Qualifiers:

Buffalo +105
Buffalo/Ottawa UNDER 5.5 (-105)
