had a nice fb chat with dave yesterday...after a lengthy discussion concerning him, with 99, 8x raising the min.raise, after 4 people had called it, and then donated 11k of his chips in the hand because he felt he had a hand with great fold equity, i had pretty much come to the conclusion that he just isnt very good at poker, but when he stated he would make the same play 100 out of 100 times, my suspicions were proven correct. :lmao:
 
he got unlucky in that the guy that beat him, called his raise with A2 ... and hit an A on the flop...it was then that dave really should have known he was probably beat and he only had around 10% chance to win the hand... but he doesnt understand that 4 raise callers ahead of him are most certain to either be ahead (if not pushed out by his raise) or be ahead when an A or face hits the board... i wouldnt have made his raise in a tourney unless i was tilting or had a hugh stack, which he didnt ... tourney play is different, i understand that, but i dont make that play... he said he was card dead all day too and that could have had something to do with it...dunno
