Hell yeah. I lost one of my first teeth after tripping on the cord of one of these.

We'd get a new sticker overlay to put on top of the old one every time the cable company would fuck with the channel lineup.

Sometimes we'd flip channels just to hear the clacking sound.

I remember a time we thought of that as the ultimate futurist dream.

I am old.

I barely remember one of those. I was pretty young when we had a cable box like that.

I do remember having to get up to change the channel on the TV though.

Even as late as middle school.

I remember having a B&W TV in my room as a tween. The picture was SHARP on that baby. Then around the age of 14-15 I upgraded to a C64 color monitor plugged into a VCR. Amazing sharpness and colors.

In the late 80's we used to have to order porn (on vhs) from companies in Montreal because Ontario still had the censor review board and all porn was cut, no moneyshots ore close ups of penetration. The frenchies were far ahead.

Since we are going down memory lane, did anyone ever have one of these as a kid?

I wanted one so bad and I finally got my chance to get one after doing some odd jobs for my grandpa. He took me to the local hardware store that carried this Evil Knievel set but grandpa through me for a loop. He said I could get the toy or I could get a banana seat for my bike. My bike had an old torn up seat that would pinch and I had this big bike race coming up with my scout troop. I opted for the banana seat cause I wanted to win the bike race.

So I never got another opportunity to get the Evil Knievel Stunt Set and to make matters worse I came in dead last in the bike race.

As a kid Plommer wanted this for Christmas, and got it!

We were a sucker for the advertising back then.
