Official 2012 AFL aussie rules thread

boyz, the crows look like they can beat everyone..wouldnt blink twice if you told me in 3 months that they won the championship...they are a well oiled machine right now  ... so it continues here...win a week, lose a week...repeat ... goodjob with them last night xp...

GL RR...

Man this really is a difficult card to read into this weekend. But, with that being said lets see if we can pick a winner or two (or three even)...

Collingwood Magpies +13.5 (-110 bet365)1x
If conditions were dry at AAMI Stadium id back the Crows here but consistent rain over past 72 hours will see this game played on a ground that is heavy and greasy. This will cause alot of skill errors from both sides and larelgy null the effect of adelaides free flowing running type game..

After watching the Pies destroy the Power at aami in atrocious conditions last season i know they can adapt to this style of football with minimum fuss. Crows are largely unproven in this area. Either way, this is going to be close...

St Kilda Saints ML (+100 boylesport)1x
Like the Saints in this spot. Yeah the Swans had a 100 point win last week but it was against the Demons at home (at this point Gold Coast would beat the Demons). Meanwhile, Saints played well for 3.5 quarters against the mighty Eagles at Subiaco last week to keep it close after a early blowout...

A solid 4 quarter performance at home should see the Saints get over the line in this one. Additionally, Swans havent played well in Melbourne so far this season (losing badly to Richmond). Can see the Saints wanting this more...

Brisbane Lions +25.5 (-105 pinnacle)1x
Where to now for a team that gave up a 5 goal last quarter lead only to give Port Power their 1st win of the season?? Nth Melbourne are struggling (both form wise and psychologically), make no doubt. Can see nth Struggling to mark the ball inside of 50, like last week against the Power...

Brisbane, on the other hand, arent exactly setting the football world alight with their current run of form. Sure, they may have had a strong win last week (against the inexperienced Giants), but the combined 12 goals and 28 marks of Brown and vice-captain Daniel Merrett will have this Lions outfit oozing confidence. They have lost to teams clearly better than them and won the games they were expected to against lesser opposition. This capper thinks these 2 teams are in a similar ballpark atm in terms of form and as a result dont see the Kangaroos running away with this. A 4 goal win will be plenty imo...

There you go pplz...GL this round and may all our wagers be winners...

will probably make a play on Sydney if i make it up that late... the other 2 games you like, i will stay away from...hard to bet against coll or adel so far this season and you couldnt pay me to watch brisbums/roos  gl boyz

not making a play on em, xp...strong dime line move against them at pinny... but st. kilda lack of taking adv. of home had me liking teh swans and st.kilda has some poor finishes...swans will run hard all 4 qtrs and appear to play well everywhere... but its a no play now unless something happens later...

i added Hawthorn 1-39 (+111)

GL RR...Like ur analysis but based on form am expecting the Saints to pick it up a gear here. Their last foray at home against the Blues convinced me they've brushed off those cobwebs and realise that they need to start utilising chances more...

Maybe it wins, maybe it dont...GL pal...:goodforyou:

I have played the Swans.

Saints off two short breaks and travel from over West. Saints without a ruck.

Swans easy game last week. Got to get used to playing without Goodes last week in a nice training drill.
