Does Kyle do well today? I am going with Tony Stewart and Harvick in some h2h matchups , who do you like today?

Tony Stewart is my favorite one to watch and had him in some h2hs. My day is over pretty quickly, should be interesting to watch Dale Jr and Danica though. Stewart should have won this.

That wreck was ugly yesterday Mr. M.

Front row seats fuck that. I want box seats and suites. The noise of the engines live at a race is great though. Even from home, if you have a good surround sound system and a hi def tv this is the best event in the world to watch on tv except for the cautions.

I just took a peek at the TV coverage. Been a long time since I checked a NASCAR race. I did not need to look it up in the listings; somehow I knew it would be on Fox.

More than anything, I was curious if Danica Patrick was hanging in there. Looks like she is. I have left my TV on so I can wander over and check periodically.

I don't particularly like her but am I hoping she wins????

Good question. Hmmmm . . .

I guess I am. :dunno:

I used to love to go into shakeys as a kid blitty, I wish there were was one around me now. You would walk in and you could see the guy throwing the pies, they would have Dixieland or some jazz playing or some old lady at the organ or the player piano going. Silent films with laurel and hardy or the little rascals playing.

You are probably too young to remember farrells restaurant, it was an ice cream parlour with an old time theme that was popular back in the 1980s. I think there are a few still around. When I was living in california they had a mailing order list where they would mail you a birthday card for a free sundae. Back in the 1980s they also emailed a letter to kids under 18 telling them not to forget to register for the draft along with their free sundae. Old timey indeed.

Shakeys was the best

Dafty, it's not 100% safe! Only time I went we were right with the pit crew and was literally 10 ft from the guy putting the fuel in the tank! Had to sign at least 5 different forms more or less saying if I got killed that's my problem!

Dafty, you'ld be okay in the pit section or the private booths but the stands from my experience is 100% redneck! Not my kind of crowd unless sufficiently liquored up!

sorry greg, just now checking in here. I was on the Jr bus today!! (Although I would still lick the sweat from Tony Stewart any day of the week but we don't mention that cause its a rather sore spot with mr. nina) The wreck yesterday was just one of those freak things. But you can tell how much emphasis they do place on safety in that no one was killed. The driver walked away. That is some dang good engineering right there. Personally I love the restrictor plate races because of the wreck factor. As long as people walk away from them. But I love the wrecks at Bristol too. I'm sorry Tony and Harvick were taken out early on for you. I will try to get in here earlier next week for Phoenix!!!
