Could the NBA LOCKOUT if it last long enough, bring some old and new fans back to watching some NHL?

I have no idea, but I know there are a ton of fans here... lets start with the basics for guys like me
its hard to keep track

where is the NHL gonna be playing on non premium tv this year?

where is the winter classic?

what are the big rivalries and most marketable players without concussed brains?

I used to watch alot more hockey than I do now. I miss that idiot barry melrose...

how does 2011-12 look for hockey "popularity"?
 
Winter Classic is gonna be in Philly.

Dunno about the popularity in the States. NBC seems to be more serious about marketing the NHL properly. :dunno: I doubt you can make a league that's full of Canadian and Euro players that appealing to the average American.

Rivalries: CHI/DET, MTL/BOS, MTL/TOR, PIT/WSH, NYR/PHI, PIT/PHI, CAL/EDM. I'm sure there are several more in the West.

its not like the MLB is chock full of Americans anymore either....

I don't think I got the idea across that I used to be a big fan when I was young, it seemed to be on tv more, I collected Hockey cards and knew alot of the players. I played street hockey and we pretended to be famous players...Now I know like 3 players.

can we maybe give the players knives whenever the start circling for fights?
