Those slap shots are going 90mph. Tough to make sure all your equipment is out of the way. If his stick had by chance deflected the puck away from net, then people would be praising him.

Fans that have never played the sport have a different outlook on it.

@ Blitty. Fans that have never played the sport have a different outlook on it. I hope u didn't mean me?

I am Canadian and was on skates playing hockey at the age of 3. I played rec hockey for 15 years and ref'd for 10 of those.

I have probably spent more time in an arena than you have spent....:choke: lol;

But seriously, there are different schools of thought when it comes to blocking shots. Some coaches prefer you to give the goalie the chance to save a clean shot. It's like passing the puck in front of your own net or trying to break out of your own zone up the middle of the ice; some teams do it and some don't.

I bet Iginla wishes he went to Boston now.... I suspect Pitt will make some changes to their organization during the off season.

I hope that Iggy doesn't end up the scapegoat either. I don't think he will. The big storyline from this series will always be what the Bruins did to Crosby and Malkin.

I think that getting beaten like that by the Bruins could have a long lasting psychological effect on the Penguins. They may have to make some sweeping changes to their team in the off-season. Getting beaten like that is kind of like getting beaten up by your older brother; you know that he will always be bigger than you and no matter what you do, you will always lose to him. It will be interesting to see who gets fired and/or traded. You can't blame Blysma, or Vokoun or Fleury, that's for sure.

I've never been a big fan of Fleury, and think he would have just made it worse.

Crosby isn't a good captain.

Tuuka was on fire.

B's have good team chemistry. They don't have any superstars, that are at times cancer to teams.

Any offensive player like that is going to prefer to go to Pittsburgh. These games were still more fun to watch than any other series. Plus Boston are a bunch of assholes :dunno: probably
Superior offensive skill cannot overcome superior mucking it up skills in the playoffs (that is the nhl's biggest problem)
Off course the muck is stronger in the west anyway.

muck it up, grind it out. concentrate primarily on mucking up Boston's offense. Exactly what Boston did to Pittsburgh. I would guess LA would more easily handle Boston than Chicago however. Chicago should be favorite too.

$20 wager, sir cunts-a-lot?
You're on. Bet.

Blitty if you want to give me $20 I'll take it, but none of that US currency, I want $20 Canadian, pal.

And thats IF the Hawks finish off the Kings (which they will - of course).

PS: The Hawks were favoured to win the Cup before the playoffs started, that hasn't changed and won't.

So you basically just want to bet for Monopoly money? That's fine I guess.
