Not a fan of that type of stuff either. He obviously knocked him silly so skate the the penalty box and be done with it. At least Asham admitted his gestures were uncalled for and "classless." Reminds me of the day when Tie "Knucklehead" Domi die the belt thing. Just silly shit.

The guy he did this to isn't even a fighter. Not even a lightweight fighter. I don't have anything against Asham, but he'd never pull these shenanigans against Colton "Colt 45" Orr, Jay Rosehill or even former Ducks middleweight Mike Brown.

Matty, I like a good honest fight and this wasn't an honest fight. This fight was just dumb. Asham should have known that the dude wasn't a legit fighter. Asham and the rest of the true fighters know who the tough guys are in the league and what teams they play for. These guys are well prepared when heading out there to do battle.

I mean I don't know how you are supposed to turn it on and off like that. after an adrenaline pumping confrontation, I can't hold a person responsible for a little celebrating.
not having played real hockey, I also don't understand what is appropriate or inappropriate.
it seemed like the announcers said that the Beagle guy got what was coming to him, by foking around with Letang's face/helmet....
should a less tough guy have fought Beagle? I think Beagle is actually bigger, does size come into play? Should the Penguins guy fought some other Capitals tough guy? I mean if you are at all a proponent of fighting in hockey, how do these match ups work?
I mean you gotta protect your stars. I gotta think with Crosby finally practicing, if he were to come back....they'd be fighting anyone that breathed on him too hard at first....
