In my family, you are supposed to eat pork and sauerkraut to bring you good luck in the new year.

I have heard of putting a specific (can't remember which) year of penny in cooked cabbage, and the person who finds it, is supposed to keep it all year long, and if so they will be financially lucky in the new year.

What are your traditions or any you have heard of?

I generally make a small number of resolutions. Usually 1, maybe 2. Haven't decided yet what it will be for 2013. Something about methodical hard work on music I imagine.

That's it for me.

If experience has taught me anything, it's that I have just triggered a bunch of people to say how they hate resolutions and never succeed with them.

Personally, I like the concept very much and when I set up New Year's resolutions, I almost always succeed.

Numerology wise I start things on 1 days. For instance, 1/1/2013 is a 7 day so that's not necessarily a bad day to start something but honestly tomorrow would really be the day to do that. Today is a 9 day so it should be a day of completion, and to finish tasks or projects.

Tomorrow: 1+2+2+9+2+0+1+2=19 1+9=10 (1)
