I disagree Senco. The recruiting implications of this hire are already in motion.
OSU will get the boys from Ohio to stay and bring in the athletes from the South to make them a national contender within 2 years. They have the advantage of playing in the Big Ten where they have built in wins. He should help them win the few difficult contests that will allow them to go undefeated and play for the national championship. Doesn't mean they will win because the SEC is superior right now, but will make them a national contender.
