Well, that's not even a comparison. Have you been in the rooms at Harrah's and Luxor? Harrah's might look a bit dumpy on the floor, but their rooms are rather nice.

That was the case a couple of years ago. Not so much anymore.

Lots of grinders at all the tables these days.

You can still find decent games here and there, but it's nowhere near what it used to be.

More action in upper stakes games now.

I havent played live in years; im hoping to get 5-10 k hands in online before I go. Im sure now that online poker is dead in USA that a lot more semi pros are playing all limits in Vegas. I will start out with some sit n go's probably.

@ Matty. I tried SBR for awhile. I played a couple poker tourneys and even still read the odd analysis, but never really got into it. Once Stevie invited me here, I found that I just kinda stopped opening SBR. I realized that SBR is not for me. Too many children and it just seemed odd...

At least here at Gamelive, it is mostly 'adults' with the IQ of children..


As for Vegas, I am looking forward to being solo for 3 days! I have permission to do whatever I want (so says my GF, but it feels kinda trappy). I may hit a cougar bar, just to see if I still have any game.. I read the bar at the RIO is loaded with cougars after the Chippendale show..That could be amusing to see.
I probably won't do much other than do a lot of walking,drinking and gambling and of course people watching. Maybe I'll try to make a People of Walmart type photo gallery!
