MrQuincy Goes to Vegas Feb1st-7th

I'm looking to book my flight within 48 hours. Feb. 1st - 7th or 8th are the tentative dates; I am meeting up with my brother's on the 4th of Feb, so I'm gonna fly down on the Friday before so I can take in the Superbowl hopefully on a massive screen in a sportsbook somewhere.

Right now, Im trying to find a good flight option. I thought I'd let y'all know just in case anyone has some bitchin ideas about how I should proceed from here. My plan is to find a decent off strip hotel and just bum around/gamble/drink til the rest of the guys get there.

Any Suggestions, (stupid or otherwise?) are greatly apprecitated.

I stayed at the rio last time and they offer free shuttles to Ballys/Paris (center strip). Gold Coast is across the street and have a cheap breakfast buffet for 5.99. The store inside Gold Coast is very reasonably priced. The Rio rooms are all Jr Suites.

Flying from Buffalo might be your best option price wise.

There are decent deals on the strip. Check out Tropicana and Hooters.

Seems like its cheaper to book a flight/hotel package than book separately. I can go to Circus Circus for $810 CAD; this includes 7 nights accomodation and what looks to be non-stop fiights to and from Vegas...

Looks like I can get 2 - non stop flights and a room for 7 nights for just about $900 bucks. I only need the room for a couple of nights, but it may come in handy to have another 'getaway' room.

My plan is to gamble my ass off until my brother's arrive. They are not gamblers at all. We're gonna hit some diner's/drive-thrus and dives and do some sight-seeing

i see that; but the flights have stopovers and also there is a 1.5hr drive to and from Buffalo; so I may just spend the extra $250 SOV and get a room at the Excalibur. It is closer to the strip than Circus Circus and I can just take transit to and from the airport here in Toronto. Im still looking around at various deals

Both Excalibur and Circus Circus are on the strip, but Excalibur is closer to the other hotels.

Excalibur > Circus Circus room-wise as well.
