Guess I'm not a romantic guy (per MrsM) but we kinda knew we were going to tie the knot! But it's not official until they get the engagement ring!

So I gave it to her on her birthday! Didn't want to be one of those guys who do it in public at a sporting event and the girl turns him! :

Yes Matty, take your time! Also unless your totally loaded IMO don't go overboard on the wedding reception if you have to put out money for the occasion! As long as you have friends and relatives there and food and drink for them spending for the ambiance factor is overrated! Save the cash for a home or something! Just sayin!

Went to Aruba for our honeymoon and was tremendous! That was back then when Aruba was an unknown and cheap!
