Hung on pretty good there for round 3. Strokes can be lost in bunches here but then same rules apply to everyone chasing and I'm not seeing a lot of hella scary names there.
Kaymer should hold. The top 5 US Open comebacks are by 7, 6, 5, 5, 5 strokes. So the two tied for 2nd (along with kaymer) would need a top 5 US Open performance. After watching the early rounds I just don't think the course has that much variance in it.
I dislike when the analysts and play by play announcers try to maintain that there is isn't a runaway. I realize they have to cover their buts JIC there is a once in a lifetime comeback and even if not their job is to keep it interesting for the viewer. But cmon.
Also, now they are constantly railing Kaymer for not smiling/enjoying this win. F-you let him do whatever he wants, it's his game that got him there.
