There is a serious threat out called the flashback trojan and it's only targeting macs. Let's hope Apple doesn't ignore the issue like they did with Mac Defender (which they denied existed for 2-3 weeks). While Apple products were relatively safe from the view of hackers/troublemakers their popularity has now made them targets.

For fellow fanboys!

To tell if youre infected with the Flashback Trojan, fire up Terminal (in the Utilities folder under Applications) and copy and paste each of the commands below into the window:

defaults read /Applications/Safari.app/Contents/Info LSEnvironment

defaults read /Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/Info LSEnvironment

defaults read ~/.MacOSX/environment DYLD_INSERT_LIBRARIES

If your system is clean you will be told that the default pair does not exist. If thats the case, your system is clean. However, if instead Terminal shows a path that point to the malware file, your system is infected.
