I thought he was yanking your chain as being a 13th generation Canadian isn't possible, is it?

It's not impossible. I'm a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. I don't know how many generations that spans off of the top of my head. My dad would know (since he's the reason that I'm in it). In any case, it wouldn't even shock me if the family had been here for generations before that during colonization.

My, my, my. To what do I owe all the attention? Allow me to inform you as to my comments about being 13th generation Canadian.
Here is the story of one of my direct descendents...

It was told to me by my sister, who has researched the topic in depth that the 1st Quesnel's came to Canada upon the 2nd boat of immigrants from France. The 1st French census in Canada dates back to 1666, I believe and from what I am told that I am the 13th gen dating back to probably 1640's.

My new home-made stovetop!

Very cool grill. You should check out ancestry.com or something, my mother and I have traced our family back to the early 1600's, very cool. It gets a little tricky because with immigration/migration movements names and spellings slightly changed.

I'll be damned.

Who me?

I have never traced anything. I was born in Canada, both my parents were, and I think 2 of my grandparents were. Not even positive about that. Before that, we came from Scotland, from the Fraser clan, but I know next-to-nothing about our family history there.

So what does that make me? Do you call that 2nd or 3rd generation Canadian? I don't even know how that works.

My family doesn't talk about that stuff much. I think of myself as 100% Canadian and that's it.

I have shed tears of joy over Curling results on more than one occasion so ----> confirmed. :greencheck:
