With my newly discovered high blood pressure (only edge of hypertension level) cutting as much salt as possible out of my diet is followed as best as I can! I like salt!

Right. But it revolves around Easterm and thus Christianity. Thus I don't get why some people (including you) would do it. I'm just curious. I am a protestant so no need to give it up anyway. I think maybe it's a lot of non practicing Catholics perhaps who just do it out of habit more than conviction.


And I just mention you specifically, as you have always said you were "spiritual." I am sure it is a family deal. I get that.

Not sure if your excluding Catholicism from celebrating Easter as well, but Easter revolves around the death, and resurrection of Jesus, yes, primarily celebrated by Christians and Roman Catholics, but there are many others that also celebrate and honor this as well. The holiday revolves around Christ...and other religious groups also believe in him.

Catholics are Christians. I don't know what other religious groups that would be celebrating Easter. It's a Christian holiday. If you believe in the truth of the resurrection, then you are by default, a Christian.


Some non Chrstians celebrate Easter with the Easter bunny of course and that kind of thing,just like Christmas, but I don't know another religion that would recognize Easter.

? Christians are made up primarily of 2 groups... Catholics and Protestants (Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, etc etc.) . They all believe in the basics. Catholics have a little more ritual...believe in the Pope and worship Mary and the Saints etc...but at the core yes, they are Christians.

I don't know about that specific branch of Judaism, but the main difference between Jews and Christians is that Jews do not recognize Christ as the son of God, so I wouldn't imagine they recognize Easter...unless that is some realllly different branch.



Just quick googled the MJ movement and while they do recognize Jesus in some respect (didn't get that detailed,) they do not recognize Christmas or Easter. Interesting though..I would like to read more about them.
 
Yes I know they are the same, and all that, most people where I grew up people refer to themselves as either Christian or Catholic.

IDK, I new a girl that was MJ and her family celebrates, IDK. I guess these days people just do whatever the heck they feel like doing.
