Ok ok ok already, I get it, individual expression and all. I realize kids need to be allowed to develop their own identity and I know that todays parents are more accepting (less involved is more true) but what the hell?

We have Ghetto Thug Life style with the underwear showing droopy pants look. I dont get this at all. I mean whats the point here? Youre proud of your Jockeys? You feel the need to show everyone you come in contact with that you arent wearing hand-me-down drawers? What possible fashion statement does this make? When I first started coaching basketball the shorts were too short, understandable when you consider it was city youth league and youre buying for 100s of kids and all on a budget. Well I felt bad for my kids and I would personally go out and buy new shorts that were longer and bigger. STILL these kids would try and sag in these uniforms. I would call a time out and go on the floor and PULL THEIR SHORTS UP in front of the entire gym. Wally dont play that.

Now I see these kids (skaters for the most part) that are into wearing these Skinny Jeans. They look like tights with pockets. Im not talking about girls here its friggin boys wearing these things. I dont get it. Are you trying to say youre in touch with your feminine side? Youre riding a skateboard not a bike so theres no concern of getting your pant leg caught in the chain. Youre on your way to school not ballet class. What the hell?

There have always been some questionable fashion statements or fads. Our parents burned their bras and wore bell bottoms. When we were in school (the 40 year olds) it was Michael Jackson red leather jackets or the hanker chefs tied around your wrist like the rockers did. These fashions while maybe corny as hell werent disrespectful or gender questionable though.

I guess Im getting old. Ok, I am getting old but these fashions just boggle my mind.
 
Tull I was at a high school, let me clarify this, a HIGH SCHOOL football game this past season ans this HIGH SCHOOL student was there wearing lace pants and a thong. Now I am a fan of this particular form of dress when I go to the clubs and there is a college aged girl there wearing something like that but a HIGH SCHOOL aged CHILD should never have been permitted out of the house, HELL she shouldn't even be allowed to own something like that.

What's worse, the lil heffer was HOT.

Bread, this thread and the BFF thread were weak attempts at bloggin. If this is any reflection of my ability I think a HUGE fail is in my future. How can one be taken as serious blogger (topic is essential people and I know this but it's not funny) if I can't keep readers on point for more than 6 replies?
