Is Zona NIT material?

Yeah I know I talk about them a lot, been a fan since the early 80's.
Obviously no NCAA bid unless they win the Pac-10 tourney, so, no NCAA this year

Think they'll get an invite to the NIT though?

I'm in between. I kinda think they have to win a game in the Pac-10 tourney to have a decent shot.

I don't even see them as a likely invitee to the NIT. They've simply had too many ugly losses this year, including getting swept by my Beavers for the first time since 1983 (I was 2). That being said, I'm certain that a school with a hoops pedigree like Zona is going to at least get a CBI or CIT invite. I'm sure there will be postseason action for them, a lot of these upstart tourneys love the Pac-10 schools because we have more brand recognition than a lot of the teams from further East which may have superior talent but nobody knows who they are. The CBI got a huge boost in visibility last year when the Beavers won it all comapred to their inaugural season when Tulsa won and nobody noticed.
