If you were going to die in 24 hours, would you want to know?

Then your original question would be obsolete.
They are two different questions. I would guess (and mcbaseball10 you can tell me if I'm wrong,) but people with wife/family would be more likely to say they would want to know than people without spouse/kids.

I would say no to 24 hours and probably if I had 6 months.

I would want to know. I would wAnt to say my goodbyes to all of my loved ones. I could see all my Facebook friends tell me that they are going to miss me. I would dial up make a wish and see if they could hook me and my family up with some spectacular vacation to Hawaii. Yep, I guess Hawaii is my destination spot.

Yeah. I would say goodbye, take a flight to Paris, then the RER to the city center, then the subway to St-Germain-des-Prs station, then sit on the patio at Brasserie Lipp to drink their dark beer and watch the pretty ladies stroll on Boulevard St-Germain until I keel over.

Wouldn't want my son, or anyone I care about, to witness my death.

Brasserie Lipp. Not a bad place to die.

Would you fly first class? Tickets kinda spendy at the last minute like that.

Depends what's going on in my life. Like if it was today, I'd say yes because I would want to get my music project out to friends and family who would be interested.

If I just died right now, people wouldn't know the state it's in and if it makes sense to look for it and where to find it etc. etc. It's not completely done and polished like I want, but it's close enough that I would be happy to have it my last statement.

So I would get that information out there.

Actually yes to the 1 day regardless. I have always been a big believer in courtesy so I wouldn't just want to die in my apartment and no one knows until they start to smell it. I could arrange the situation to be as user-friendly as possible.

The only reason to really say no is for selfish psychological reasons. Like I wouldn't want to have that day of being freaked out. But it's just a day so tough shit.

Yes also to the six months.

By chance I saw a report yesterday on the news that says they have developed a new blood test that can determine likelihood to get Alzheimers with %90 accuracy. Man. I don't know if I would want to know. I haven't read much about it yet but that will be huge if they are able to do that. Of course it also just means that big pharma is going to get much bigger..esp with all those boomers about the right age to start getting tested.
