Sad but present projection says I think he's in for direct line hit. A category 2 for sure but possible 3 with all the water it travels over before hitting land.

@Boner_18 hope your dad is bunkered down though the direct hit looks pretty far east from him. I’m hearing it’s going to be low tide when it hits on the gulf coast which is good news. Wasn’t as bad as expected winds down here, just plenty of rain. Sun was even trying to peek out.

Hoping for the best for your dad, but when it’s all said and done with your dad now being in FLA, might be appropriate for you to start a My Dad Hates Hurricane Season! thread?

Thanks @MrMonkey. Just spoke to him, no rain and wind gusts only to 40mph so they're good. He lived in Staurt, FL from 2015-2019 and had one decent hit. He's a stubborn old coot so I assume at some point, if he says down there, he's gonna get washed out to sea.
