I have seen both Changeling and The Changeling.
Changeling is very disturbing and factual. The Changeling, as I recall, is just kind've a silly ghost story and not factual at all. I guess some might find it disturbing.

I KNEW there was some ghosty kind of movie like that..that's why I was so confused. Thank you for clarifying that btw.
I saw the one with Angelina Jolie...got ahold of me early on, and thought I would really like it. Didn't see all THAT coming.

Yeah I saw that when it came out which was a few years back now. It is not totally fresh in my mind. I recall it as being well done but kind of a feel-bad experience overall.
And I do recall a lot of discussion about the factuality of it. Like it really happened with a woman being given a different child and then being completely stomped on by corruption in L.A. when she tried to correct the situation. I think they used her real name in the movie and many of the other "characters" are real people who can be googled or whatever.
Again, it's not fresh in my mind. I think there was some dramatic license taken around the murders. While they were real, I think they may have manipulated some details of that.
But yeah, pretty much of a feel-bad situation, no doubt.

At the end when they are hanging chicken coop killer, they have him creepily singing "Silent Night" as they lead him up the stairs to die. My mom who was not watching the movie at all, heard him singing and started in singing "Silent night" along with the sicko, like you would in a Christmas Eve service. It was all kinds of surreal/creepy yet funny as hell. My brother and I both had hide in a pillow we were laughing so hard.

It was a great movie. I'm really not a movie person (short attention span,) but this one was good from moment one. They could have ended it about 20 minutes earlier, but it was really gripping.
I am not sure I have ever called something "gripping" before.
I am gong to watch more movies in 2014.
