actually choo there's something about that

the other day I observed that.. I was with a group of colombian women and when they were speaking english all broken I noticed the tone actually changed a bit, when they spoke spanish they sounded "normal", for some reason they all sounded a bit "softer" in english. I'm sure there's an official lingo name/designation for this effect somewhere but I have no idea, i'll look it up later, but it did caught my attention.
