mccartney still touring and is coming to memphis next month...personally, i dont care to see him, but wonder what ticket sales the will do.. tickets go on sale in 15minutes

$70-$280 tickets for general admission...
2k for front row :lmao: the guy is fucking 70 ... would be different if it were more than just him...
 
the recent live videos ive been watching this morning are awful... hey, ill spend $100-200 bucks to do almost anything, but i have to get some enjoyment out of it...think im going to have to pass on this one...

i dunno, and this will probably piss off greg or muddy and im not trying to argue or anything because its only matters of opinion, but as far as music goes, their is nothing more overrated, IMO , than Aerosmith and they are followed closely by the beatles...:yes: ... both have been incredibly well marketed

i agree the beatles wrote some great songs, but it was 50yrs ago and very very plain jane compared to music from only 25-30yrs ago...heavily commercialized basic music... its like comparing athletes of today to those 50yrs ago.

no doubt they had great minds and were great musicians for their time...but common, would they even be recognized today if they were a new band? maybe some... #1 albums? no ... #1 songs? no ... sure times have changed and again, its all matter of opinion...not my cup of tea (no pun intended) :lol:
 
"Rock" isn't really mainstream these days, so no, probably not.

Then again, if they were active today, producers would massage their sound into something current, i.e. balls-to-the-wall volume & overly compressed dynamic range. So who knows.

Different times for sure.
 
yeah im not at all trying to take away what they did... it takes great artists to make music that was well ahead of their time, like they seemed to be... and i suppose them being so welcomed worldwide, has a lot to do with their notoriety ... im just probably not going to get much out of mccartney since i dont quite understand the popularity or nostalgia behind it all... im sure plenty couldnt wait to throw down 2k for front or 1500 for front 6 row seating
