I think him and his crew of actors/writers/producers haven't made a truly funny movie since Superbad. The new movie "Your Highness" got awful reviews and the trailer looks stupid. Not funny stupid, just stupid.
 
the phase jump the shark has jumped the shark.
 
I'm guessing Natalie Portman signed up for this movie prior to Black Swan.

I have never been as impressed with the Judd Apatow machine as many. He had a bunch of movies come out a few years back that a lot of people got excited about (Knocked Up, Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall etc) but they were all in the 5/10 range for me.
 
What a horribly wretched contraption.

This episode is on right now.

It's actually a bit painful to watch although a bit funny too since I'm giggling every time they say "jump the shark".

Which is quite often.
 
Going to the movies is for suckers. Wait until the movie is on DVD and read the reviews and even when you start watching it is still bad turn it off and you are out of $1 instead of $10 or more at the movie theater.
