boner i'll help you out with all the web stuff if you want, it aint really that hard to set up a site

but like you said all the time "marketing" is what it's a turn off, all the twitter, forums, writing, social media crap to get the word out there

fuk social media

WAT? Deceptive marketing is a turnoff. If he is the real deal, honesty and productivity trumps all.

No don't worry im not actually doing it. My ideas/schemes rarely progress past the ideas stage, but think about it, why not? You get a group of guys who like different sports to do one write up a day, sell it online with no guarantees, its easy money. Sure you have to deal with +ev dudes like mf, Reno, durito and choo thinking you are a total dirtbag but who cares, they prolly do anyway.

When I saw that someone paid casper $100 for his picks it really blew my mind (assuming that drama was real). I dont even care how good I can pick games, I know im a loser. But running a business is something I could do a hell of a lot better than casper (no offense buddy) and I could do it in my spare time during or after my day job. Why are more smart people not doing this? Shit all I need is a good Web designer, ill even incorporate the shit and take business tax deductions.... Maybe ill see what domains are available... TheSpreadBeneathMyWings.com?

Because smart people can either make money betting sports on their own, are ambitious enough to have decent jobs and aren't motivated to steal money from people with deceit and empty promises, and/or have the ingenuity to create legitimate enterprises that have far greater upside than scamming money from a select population of ignorant degenerates.

Where is the deceit unless you claim to have a better record or more earnings than are true? Where is the scam if you sincerely post only plays you truly believe are worthy and ONLY post one side to all and not half one side and half the other?

I agree it does require either lazy, ignorant or even desperate people to support such a venture and I will also concede that the vast majority of those involved with the touting industry are pretty less than reputable types but there could be opportunities to be honest and still provide decent selections for your consumers.

I personally couldn’t do it because as evidence I can’t pick a winner if one team all showed up wearing cast and running fevers of 103 but there are those out there that could.

Just because the history of something suggest it’s less than honorable doesn’t mean that someone couldn’t run an honest service.

People play the lottery everyday with odds against them far worse than 50/50.

RAS is no coin-flipper

thats the thing about touts though, the marketing really isnt necessary if you actually are a winner. RAS does a bunch of marketing but i dont think it gets him many clients. they more likely come via reputation-recommendation amongst pros, since most people arent gonna have to outs to be able to bet them.

This is true. For someone with a 6 digit bankroll even making 2% every day in net profit is a win. Most people think they can deposit $500 at a book bet 20 bets in 7 days and cash out $5000. It doesn't work like that.

I often have this conversation with my brain: if your long term ROI is 3.5% how much would you sacrifice from that ROI if it completely rid you of variance?

i think my answer is none but it changes based on the variance i'm enduring at that point in time :missingteeth:

Edward isn't a tout.

Well I guess he technically is in the definition that we use the word for but he's not. Same as Bob. I don't play either of them but they're not who I think of when I think of dirty scamdicappers.

Who is going to buy picks from a tout who posts their true record if they are simply coinflippers?

Yes, a coinflipper could run an honest tout service.

But they wouldn't have any clients.
