Sadly they usually cut off beer sales by the end of the 2nd period in Ottawa. I think its mostly because almost everyone drives to the games there. Less chance of DUI.

This.

Also I dont think there is any reason for games to go in longer than they do. 10 min OT would be ok though.

When's that last time you went to a game, pucky?

To be honest I've only seen the Leafs play live in Toronto once in my life and the fans were the quietest fans in the world. It was like watching a game at a funeral. That was 05. Saw them in 04 in Ottawa and more than 50% of the fans were Leaf fans. Nice and loud and proud. Saw them in Montreal in 99 and it was by far the best hockey experience I've witnessed in my life. Also checked out a game in Chicago (vs detroit) and the fans weren't into it at all. That was during the shitty years when Dollar Bill still controlled the team.

I wasn't aware that there was a beer cutoff policy after the 2nd intermission at games. Is this standard for most teams?

you mean "little people?"

I do. Of all the PC terms out there, I think "little people" is probably the strangest. It never sounds right to me.

"How about mandatory little people goalies on every roster and put them in for 10 minute overtimes?" sounds cognitively disabled to me.
