Now requires phone numbers for new accounts? WTF?

Fuck that.

When creating a local user in a new Windows 8 machine you need to register a Windows Account. That's fuck up too.

Everyone getting greedy. Trying to profile everyone.

Following Facebook's lead? Ugh.

LOL. Even more annoying.

They have an option to call as well. Pretty ridiculous.

Yeah everything must be tracked. Big money for corporations and big control for government.

Check the video surveillance drones they already have. Zoom capabilities to the facial level and tracking capabilty for every moving object in the city. 100 terrabytes of footage a day, persistent tracking indefinitely. Within a couple of years they will be all over American cities and the sheep will be herd. Skip to minute 31. http://video.pbs.org/video/2326108547

No love with the video roguey...Might give YT a try...

hm ip blocked, it just aired yesterday im sure it'll pop up on yt later, for some reason it's not letting me rip it

use google voice? But yeah it is becoming a crock of shit. Time to make your own personal cloud of data instead of using the ones that track you.

What's the problem with giving out a phone number? :dunno:

Facebook and gmail have my number. They ask for it so that you can retrieve your log in information over the phone in case you forget it. Like when Durito got drank over the weekend and couldn't remember his password.

what happens one day when rich company y comes along and needs advertising data? Don't even bother responding with in the terms they said they wouldn't...

What happens when a hacker decides to take over that companies data information?

You really trust these fucking clowns?

No one has bothered me. If I don't recognize the number I don't answer it and after a few tries they give up. I have a feature with my cell phone company that blocks spam texts. And the US government already has my fingerprints from when I became a US citizen so having my phone number is the least of my concerns. And I'm not paranoid of people having my phone number. I choose to who I want to talk to not them.

Many sites require email accounts to sign up. Many times, I don't want them having my personal information.

That's great for you if you don't mind it. I do.
