This is more for American sites than Euro ones. Do people want picks for those that fail so when they eventually lose, they can just be angry and go off on them?

I had posted consistently my app results where it was hitting 58 to 60 percent at -110. Tracked it...no past posting...legitimate stuff...

and I received heat that it was "just" hitting this mark instead of world killing on a grand sample....

I am a different character and would like any thoughts on why something like this is not appreciated...

People are generally losers, especially in this business. So if you win, you're reviled. And if you win and you get some attention, then you're hated. It's pretty pathetic, but I've seen this play out at a number of forums.

58-60% at -110 is making money. The math is undeniable. Line and juice shopping is still a great idea because you always want to maximize everything but whatever, if you can do it in the long term, it is inexcusable that you wouldn't become rich.

I don't know where loathing comes into it. I guess you're talking about public forums. No one to blame but yourself if you post picks on public forums. It is a ridiculously beside-the-point exercise with completely predictable results. What? Members of the public when posting anonymously aren't always sensible and nice? Really?

Come on.

I made my living wagering for many years and here is my advice: focus on posting picks at sportsbooks, not forums. It's about money. If pats on the back are important to you, impress the people in your corporeal life with your smarts and success.

But again, the key phrase about winning percentages is: in the long term

So there is no room to post picks that you played already? Nothing wrong with helping others. I'm sure there are a lot of posters on forums who post plays and don't bet them. I never really got that outside they want to go tout.

I used to look at it that once I got my price...posting was like giving back (arrogant sounding)...it doesnt hurt me but now my viewpoint has changed.

The forums should have been meant as a tool of improvement and for a method for people in an isolating activity like sports handicapping to get together, share, and make one another better. Yet the tools that drive traffic are bashing, racism, politics, and other subjects that play on the psychological makeup of loners to strike back...it is sad....

Especially at EOG and SBR.

I wish people would shut the fock up and keep valuable info to themselves. That way people who actually do their own work and research can make money. Of course there is a lot more misinformation out there than anything valuable. So that helps
