Pretty awful Day 1 of the Ryder Cup. My partner and I got off 0-2 er the first 2 holes and managed to battle our way back for to push our match. That was good considering we didn't give up but we really should have won the match and scored our team a point.

The afternoon though (change of partners) saw myself and my partner lose both our matches.

Team Florida trails by 3 points heading into tomorrow and I completely lost my iron stroke this afternoon. I've $500 tied up in this outcome so myself and my teammates had better get it together or Team Mississippi will 3-Peat.

Things could be worse though. Team Mississippi captain ( the big guy in that one photo with me) won $15k on the roulette table last night just before we had the tournament meeting.

By 2AM this morning that same guy had a $20k marker.

TEAM FLORIDA 2012 RYDER CUP CHAMPIONS

Without a doubt today was the toughest grindfest I have ever been a part of but in the Team Florida overcame the whole we dug for ourselves yesterday to win the Cup.

On a personal note, I went 0-2-1 in my matches yesterday and 2-0-1 in them today. Not only that but Team Mississippi had side wagers totaling $2500 against me. They were confident their player would beat me in the individual match. He lost and a buddy of mine who held all their action won.

RJ, it was a glorious ride home, far better this year than the previous years. The journey home would have been a depressing 9 hours hours had we not won the Cup.

There was only one glitch on the ride home. I went all in with the Copperhead fund. I figured why not but now in retrospect I'm just thinking WHY?
