Tomorrow I will be stuck in the backseat of an Envoy for 9 hours heading to Philadelphia MS for our annual Ryder Cup event. It will be a very, very, very long ride because the 2 guys I am carpooling with never shut the fok up. Dont get me wrong they are cool enough guys and for this weekend they are my fellow teammates but I simply dont have 9 hours of conversation in me in a weeks time let alone a day.

So GameLive tomorrow you get the opportunity to step up to the plate and help keep me entertained. Get a good nights rest guys and come prepared to post up a storm from starting at 10 AM in the morning.

awesome! good lcuk

don't you carpool to alot of these things? I seem to remember the one in Mississippi or something you were in back seat too?

can't you call shot gun quicker?

is that former Florida QB fatso going?

Former QB is the Captain of the Mississippi team.

I was in the backseat last year because I rode with these same guy. The April trip I ride in the front or drive because I ride with different guys and me and one of the others rent a different vehicle.

Arch, don't much care for the tone used to type fatso to describe the former QB. It didn't come across very good natured, rather it sounded borderline high schoolish.

Wally I'm looking at a 12-14 hr trip to North Carolina on thursday night or friday morning... I'm scared

BigAl and I start to hate each other and ourselves after 7-9 hrs which is our typical longest road trips.

there might be a murder suicide on the highway on the news from WV, VA, or NC..

if so... that's us

I wish I could be a serial killer.

I prob could be one here in the hood with lil chance of getting caught, if I did my homework and took my time, and stuck to hookers, homeless winos, and ass hole drug dealer thugs.

I'd could prob also set up other dumb nigs to take the fall.

I imagine I could find some deep deep deep deep underground networks in the redneck KKK crazies that are also rich that would pay me to pursue this "occupation" and "ministry" if you will....

in 10-20 years I'll semi retire and train and mentor a small select group of "brother-hood of justice cleansers" as we call.... er would call ourselves.

I'd then move south, take up golf....

you see any room in any of your tourney group carpools in say 2039?

wal, are you part of a small org. or something that puts on this tourney? wal, how good are the players there? there must be dozens of these things and for all different hdcps...

we have them here but its the best ams vs club pros in the city(no hdncs)...then for state vs state deals, its the best players of the year (earned by pts throughout season tourneys)... sounds much different than this thing you play in

sorry wal, im sure ive asked this before :imsorry:

The Masters in April is all individual with handicaps. There are some mixed games involved as well to increase the number of payouts across the board but the main tournament is individual.

For the Ryder Cup they use individual handicaps to field each team but only in order to get equal number of A.B.C and D players. Once the tournament starts no handicaps are used. You are playing for points but you are matched against equal/similar type opponents. Now it might be a A&C player as partners but they will be pitted against another A&C player. This year they changed the format some though. We still play 27 holes per day for 2 days but the events are, 9-holes scramble, 9-holes alternate shot and then 9-holes best ball.

The Mississippi trip is separate from the Amateur Tour events I play but that has a National event in October as well. I've never gone to that though.

The Bahamas trip in January is just a group of guys and it too is mainly handicap individual competition but your handicap is stored just for that event and regardless of what your actual handicap adjust to in GHIN when you go to the Bahamas it is what it equated out to after the previous year.

RayRay, I have tried for a couple of years now to organize a local competition with competing courses to play a round robin type event at each course for an overall Top Course Champion but these course pros are pains in the ass.

I'm currently trying to organize a Women's Tournament. The area has a really large number of women players and but nothing has been geared towards them. Plus these ladies are so eager for something that they are willing to do it for charity which makes sponsors easier to come by. So they get an event, sponsors get a write-off, some charity gets a donation and obviously I get an organizers fee.
