Never learn what?

If we're racing cars and I pay too much for my Ferrari it's still faster than your Honda. The marginal cost of a dollar to the Yankees is not the same as it is to other teams. That's how you buy 26 (27?) Championships. Critics of the Yankees will never learn.

The Yankees farm system is fucking awful. The foundation for the Yankees success over the past 20 years was built by Gene Michael and player development. Jeter, Williams, Posada, and Rivera were all home grown. Over paying for free agents is not the way to go for long term success. Ellsbury is another Danny Tartabull.

 I have his rookie card somewhere

Boner, the Yankees didn't buy their championships.
They actually had a nice core of homegrown players when they had their great run.
In the Eighties, when they overpaid for big names , and didn't develop their farm system, they sucked.
Much they will suck now.
Oh I learned... Learned long ago.
It's the blind Yankee fans that think a Ferrari that might go fast, but also breaks down regularly is better than my Honda that I trade in every three years for a upgrade.
See you at the finish line Boner.
