My Egyptian coworker has all her family in the streets right now. She's oddly cool about all of it - I'm the one freaking out for her. Her parents have been visiting here but they're actually planning to fly back home tomorrow. :wtf:

"For the sake of Egypt and for historical accuracy, let's call what is happening by its real name: Military coup," Mr Haddad , President Mursi's national security adviser, said in a statement on Facebook.

As tensions mounted and crowds poured into the streets to demand Mr Mursi's resignation, Mr Haddad said: "As I write these lines I am fully aware that these may be the last lines I get to post on this page."

This is no revolution, this is in the spirit of Apartheid. Yeah the Morsi supporters are religious nuts and the the Muslim Brotherhood are nothing but rotten eggs. It's sweet that they are out but it's bitter the methods used. You have here a military regime that executes a coup, imprison and murder openly their own citizens, wide censorship and there's no condemnation from anyone outside and counts with the blessing of the majority of the people. Yikes-smiley worthy. Coerced by revolution, unknowingly these people of Egypt are complicit to genocide, this is Apartheid.

People are cockroaches.
