Well when you beat your dog, what do you expect?!
It all depends on how they are raised, and where they came from. Any dog can turn on a person, they are animals, you can only tame or diminish their instincts to a certain point. I have neighbors who have pits, they got out last week and went happily trotting down the road and didn't bother anyone. Not all Pits or dogs are bad...they are givin a bad rep because of how people treat them.

Oh my gosh, I cannot believe they shot the dog like that. Unreal, the fuck do you think is going to happen when an unrestrained dog sees it's owner in any kind of stressful situation, it is going to do what Dogs do, protect. Maybe these officers should have made sure the dog was restrained first. Didn't even appear that the man being arrested was putting up a fight of any kind, I am sure they could have escorted him to the car and have the windows put up or something.

Man, talk about a bad day, Well, not only are we going to arrest you, we're killing your dog too. Have a nice day.

Plus the stupid people want to have pitbulls all the more because its so cool that they have killer potential. And then they're gonna go on about how sweet they are. fok off retards.
 
if you ban pitbulls you need to ban german shepherds and rottweilers and doberman pinschers and all sorts of other big dogs with ultra-powerful jaws

Absolutely worthless species of animal. Exterminate them all. I'm glad NY has a strict liability standard with these beasts. That means any damage caused by a pitbull no matter how unforseen makes the owner liable. For example if a pitbull is chasing a frisbee and he jumps onto a see-saw which launches an anvil into the air that is seen by an unstable person as an omen that he should kill a baby the pitbull owner is liable for the baby's death.

Also, i like in NY that anyone can use force (including deadly) against any canine exhibiting aggression where the person reasonably fears safety for his life. NY courts have held that barking or growling constitute "exhibiting aggression."

people with common sense dont give them a bad rep because of the way they look or are raised... we realize there are fucking stupid people out there who cant raise a pet rock, much less a dangerous breed of dog... pits get a bad rep because of the high rate of bites and deaths associated with the ones coming from good homes and good people that raise them correctly and with love.... the element of surprise with this animal is its trademark

the animal is a ticking time bomb, no matter how much love its given at home... i think its awesome that people want to adopt animals , but to ignore the accidents and stats surrounding the breed is quite ignorant, imo.
