This kitty has been showing up on my balcony since late August, her visits are more frequent since it got cold.

I started out by leaving the balcony screen door open and see if she would come in, she did. She would wander around but was very cautious, she would sometimes hiss at me and sometimes would come close looking to be petted, so I don't think she's feral, more like she got away or was abandoned.

So tonight she stayed in my apt for a few hours and then I let her out, felt really bad but I don't yet trust the animal and don't have the things she needs. I'm going to Toronto for Christmas with my parents for a week and I couldn't leave her alone in my apt for so long.

I'm thinking if the visits continue after christmas I'll make room in a spare storage room and put a litter box in and a comfy blanket on a chair for her to sleep on. I'll leave her in the room overnight and see if I can tame her enough to be my pet.

I've been reading sites that help transform a young possibly feral cat into a tame kitty.
