Canada all alone in first at 5-0.

Definitely not feeling comfortable though. Sweden is right there.

Americans looking unsettlingly not bad.

Hosers guaranteed the #1 seed for the playoffs with still a game to play.

:shades:

Weird fucking playoffs.

Sweden - OUT!
Scotland - OUT!
Norway - OUT!

Those are your traditional powers.

Instead, along with Canada, it's Denmark, Japan and USA.

:dunno:

Playoffs, live!

He looks over the shot like a golfer over a putt! Every angle!

Nice throw by the bald dude and the other guy knocked it right out!

I'm surprised that the Dane yells "Stick, buddy!"

Maybe the stones only understand English?

And why are there only 40 people in the stands?

The live stream chat has quite a few gay men objectifying the curlers.

Did not see that coming.

Curling faces the same dilemma as junior hockey. If you hold it in Canada, you get stadiums full of knowledgeable enthusiastic crowds and it's fun and the cash rolls in.

Pretty well anywhere else (except for the northern states that lots of Canadians can get to) ---> :dunno:

But it's a world championship - you can't just have it in one country every year.

Every second year? ---> yeah, we can justify that.

:handshake:

Fantastic shot by Koe in the 7th to secure the 3-ender. Denmark needs a minor miracle to win and avoid the extra game against the 3 versus 4 winner.

Koe has been sharp all week and looking great to be in the gold medal game.

:canada:

USA wins the 3 versus 4 game over Japan and will now face Denmark with the winner facing Canada for gold.

I believe USA/Denmark starts RIGHT NOW.

Well, in 15 minutes.
