Goes on every errand and car ride.

He’s turning 18 in April, and I know I need to be with him every minute I can

No need to apologize. I’ve been contemplating adopting another because I hate him being alone all day and night when I can’t be here. He’s like velcro when I’m around and I want him to be happy. There are so many cats that need adopted and good homes. I wish I could take them all in if I could. I’ve been thinking about a dog, however that’s a completely different scenario and situation..
