In Spain, a school is offering a professional course in prostitution and it guarantees a job offer on graduation.

The news came to the fore mid last year when a Spanish company advertised that it was offering a course in the worlds oldest profession which had a job guaranteed after college, upon graduation! Spain-school-offers-prostitution.

The move angered several institutions, most notably the Catholic church, and the Valencian government (whose jurisdiction the school falls under) which prompted the latter to file proceedings in court protesting the move. Unfortunately, they lost the case and the court gave the firm the go-ahead.

The ads began going up in May 2012 and it was just a matter of weeks before the Valencian government moved to block the school from starting a course that promoted prostitution, which is illegal in Spain.
