I have been learning the topographical setup of Calgary as of late. What I have ascertained is that it is a mountainous region with two rivers running through it. What I have heard is many Calgary residents are smoking pot right now to deal with the flood. Once again, I am new to the Calgary game, but shit looks cray cray over there.

now train derailment

A train carrying what emergency officials say could be diesel fuel derailed this morning on Calgary's Bonnybrook Bridge over the Bow River.

Bruce Burrell, Calgary Emergency Management Agency director, said the bridge had dropped at least 0.6 metres (two feet) in an hour and a half. However, as of 8 a.m. MT, emergency officals said the bridge hadn't dropped in 45 minutes.
