makes me think why not make it hard to sign up? Who was the last worthwhile poster we've had join that just came out of the blue. Seems that every newer regular has been brought in by someone already here.

That strikes me as extreme. It probably makes sense but I dunno . . . maybe I believe in miracles.

Certainly any time someone trots out a tout wannabe shtick, it does not bode well. It wouldn't hurt to let them know they are misunderstanding their surroundings. I could do that in a very polite respectful manner.

If - make that when - they don't adapt . . .
