jj fukin called me last night, I have no idea why, i guess because I sent him an email with my number in it

at first i was sure he was taping it but then I realized he wasnt

so we were fukin talking about gambling and I'm telling him I'm good at mlb, etc etc, told him I was gonna be big on the fukin bal/detroit under

When I saw what happened in that game, going over in the top of the second, I knew someone had jinxed it somehow, but I couldn't figure out who, and I barely gave my own loss a second thought - you know, money management, what the market said, YTD numbers, etc etc

but then jj posted this thread:

Loshak Costed Me $600

and now I feel fukin awful

He's so innocent, ultimately

He really got excited and thought he was being handed a lock or whatever, like a little kid

"Loshak Costed Me $600" - it breaks my heart, he's like a sweet little retarded savant child, who also somehow has a different part of his brain that produces works of gambling comedy genius

but when it comes down to it he is still an innocent degenerate who still thinks of "locks" and other people's magical picks the way kids think of disneyland or santa claus

and because I told him what I was on, he lost $600

I feel awful, if I were rich enough I would paypal him $600 and say "now don't go doing that again!"

I don't know if there are a couple of layers of irony I'm not seeing here pally but JJ did not bet 600 bucks on that play. He marvels at pics of 4-figure tickets that this guy sends him from Vegas and he was betting $10 a game with Tsoprano for a while. He's a clean freak. Works an actual useful job. Is a suburban nerd (apologies to SSLP.)

Robyn why does JJ even bother being JJ?

I like JJ. JJ makes me laugh and sometimes he says things that cheer people up when they're getting smoked in gambling.

But he's foolish to get $600 down on a tip and then get upset when it loses.

Fuck JJ...... He is a horrible gambler.... don't feel bad he would have lost it on another game.

I lost money on this play too. I was pissed at JJ about something and to make it up to me he told me Loshak said this was a great play and I should put money on it. He said Loshak was really sharp and since I was too tired to look at games myself, I placed the bet.

He's bloody lucky I couldn't get a hold of him in the 2nd inning. But he did genuinely feel bad afterward about telling me the play so it's all good.
