Well actually the correct term is "laying" horses, I'm surprised more people aren't in to it.

Plommer will be in full book mode starting this Friday laying horses at Woodbine - where he has plenty of experience/knowledge/contacts.

This is the sort of thing I would expect Durito to be doing.

Hugh potential.

Why do you think there's much potential there? Doesn't look like much liquidity at all.

What are you looking to do? Lay a bunch of longshots all day long? That'd be no different than betting huge ML's. Probably not much in the way of inefficiency at Woodbine.

No I book low priced horses 4-1 is about as high as I will go.

There is plenty of liquidity, especially close to post time.

$40k matched with about $15k of it coming in during the last 2 minutes in the race shown at Woodbine.

I'm trying to get $50-$200 matched per race, not difficult at all.

There are also opportunities to scalp as early money distorts the odds and I'm specifically playing Woodbine races not US tracks.

That's sort of what you'd expect - the money to come in late. However, that's not a good thing if you're playing off of feel. That's when the pools are most efficient. As someone who is laying, you'd be the one getting burned on any heavy, late money that would indicate any value in the pool.

I would think you'd be hard pressed to find many scalps there between them and the Woodbine pools. Not hard to code a bot to eat those up real quick.

If you want my advice, I'd stick to small tracks with little liquidity. That's where you could probably find value. However, your upside is pretty limited, but for that reason, you probably wouldn't run into much professional action.
