The Western Union partnership allows Interac to expand its online money transfer options.

I didn't know regular WU fees were that high in Canada.

The few times I've sent via WU or MG I sent less than $500 and it cost $15 at moneygram, WU was more expensive. The book picked up the fees anyway.
